Our client is a large, progressive Industrial Supplies & Apparatus Distributor supplying quality industrial products to thousands of customers through their large network of branches. 
 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
·         Makes contact with the appropriate management levels and decision makers within existing national accounts to build and maintain close relationships.
·         Prepares and delivers sales presentations that address the clients' needs and leads to the establishment of enhanced national account agreements/contracts.
·         Sells Company's complex value basket and services to clients, including e-procurement integrations; one stop shopping.

REQUIREMENTS and EXPERIENCE:
·         You need to have a minimum of 3 years of related industrial/commercial end-user sales experience.
·         4 years of concentrated National Account management experience is required.
·         Excellent sales, negotiation and relationship building skills and techniques needed at multi-site, $1 billion+ national organizations.

·         Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software is required.
·         You should have a knowledge of e-business as it relates to national accounts.

·         You must have an excellent knowledge of the regional area.

·         Bachelor's degree in Business is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

·       The manager spends most of the time working with and developing the outside
sales staff
·       The manager drives sales and is responsible for all sales functions and growth.
·       Will develop good customer face to face relationships to avert problems, solve problems and develop new business opportunities.
·       Overnight travel will be up to 25%.

REQUIREMENTS:
·       You must have had industrial sales and responsibility for both inside and outside sales management.
·       Related MRO/industrial supply sales experience is needed.
·       Branch P&L responsibility is required.
·       You will have a university degree.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       You will work with branch managers, product specialists and local salespeople to develop their skills at government accounts, helping to teach and train guidelines in the art of selling

·        Work closely with National State Government Manager to maximize existing market-share, as well      as developing new business to continue growing this vertical market sector.

·      You also work closely with marketing and product managers to get the right products in place.

   ·        Effectively manage and grow the sales of the company's comprehensive value "bundling" plan.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You MUST have had recent in-depth experience calling on appropriate Government departments,
  • You must have commercial &/or industrial product sales experience, in related MRO consumables. .
  • You should have good computer skills
  • Associate Degree or better is required
